To play DVDs on my iMac. Is there something else I can install that will play DVDs and CDs and also give me the ability to burn/rewrite??
Use the built-in DVD drive, or if you have one of the iMac models that came without a drive, buy an external USB DVD drive. Apple sells their own SuperDrive, or you can buy a third-party drive. Then you can use DVD Player to play video DVDs, and appropriate software such as iDVD or Burn to create video DVDs.
