That refers to iTunes installed on a computer for purpose of syncing, not the iTunes app on your iPad.

Once you have the file stored in the Adobe or other app (you might also look into File Manager), you can send it in an email from that app.

The sharing that you are referring to is iOS file sharing and you so need to do that via iTunes on a computer. It is a means of transferring content within apps that support file sharing to and from the computer and iPad.
