MBP 13' (mid 2012) - Fan Exhaust 000rpm

Hi everybody.

The problem with my MBP is that the fan seems to not be working.

I have installed a program (smcFanController) to check the temperature and the fan rpm and right now, with only a few things open (Chrome, iTunes and Finder), my Mac is at 52ºC (126ºF) and the fan is working at 000rpm (well it isn't working) and states that it is exhausted.

This isn't normal!

Usually the program registered the rpm to be set on 1900-2000.

A week ago I was playing Amnesia here and as I know that the mac gets warm, I shutted down all the other programs to not overheat the mac, although that it did anyway.

I didn't check the temperature on the next 3 days, but I didn't noticed nothing strange either. But yesterday I noticed that the fan wasn't working.

I tried to shut down the mac for the night, but it was useless.

Could have been for the long play on the computer?

Can I solve the issue without going to a repair store?

Thanks!

Cheers 🙂
