just got thor the dark world and the digital copy redeem code not working says invalid code

I'm having the same issue. I redeemed on more.marvel.com/Thor and followed the directions that linked me to the Disney Movie Rewards site. But iTunes isn't downloading the move. Maybe this has something to do with the new DisneyMovies iOS app?

Yup, this does have to do with the new DisneyMovies app.

Follow the directions and redeem the code on More.Marvel.com/Thor. After doing so there will be a link to redeem your digital copy that will forward you to the Disney Movie Rewards website. After going through that site, it looks like the itunes download for Thor: The Dark World is somehow automatically added to your iTunes account.

I just checked my "purchases" on both iphone and itunes on my MBP and the movie shows as available to download.

when i redeemed my code I didnt have to go through the disney site, there was an option near the bottom of the page to get your itunes copy without using the disney app or signing up for anything.

im having the problem where i keep having to sign in over and over again and then the movie never downloads. i didnt do it through the disney thing with it, just itunes. i am getting very made because i have been trying to get it downloaded since the movie was released!

I noticed the same things. Batkinson, I saw that, too, but didn't anticipate a problem when it offered me to download it to Disney and to iTunes, so I did both. Well, I got it on Disney, but it won't show up on iTunes. My Mac Mini doesn't show it as an item I've purchased and when I go to the iTunes store, it still offers to sell it to me. I've rebooted, etc., to no avail.

My iPad, however, didn't show anything for an hour or so, then I went to the iTunes Store and looked a Thor: The Dark World and it switched from the price to purchase to the download icon. So I successfully downloaded it, but it still won't show up on my Mac, which is hooked up to the home theater system / TV. I still don't know what's the problem, but I know I hate Disney's new app.

Good news, I also had this "issue." I selected the iTunes + Disney Anywhere option and the movie never appeared in iTunes. The good news is that if you return to http://more.marvel.com/thor, you can re-enter your code and now choose the iTunes only option. Forget the directions, click continue. This will open iTunes with a generated redemtion code. Redeem the code and viola, iTunes download.
