apple ID and password doesn't work on my iphone.

I have the same problem on my iPhone 5, it won't take the Apple ID, but it works on my Mac and iPad. 😟 I try restored it 3 times, same problem.

Any help??

Why is it that Apple does not monitor these pages and provide answers? This is ridiculous! Is it time to get a Google Phone? Is that customer support better?

IF you're on WIFI try switching wifi off and using your cellular network to put in the new password.

I'm an android user and my mom gave me her old iPhone 3. I don't know how to use it and I wanted to download some apps. I created a new apple ID, t'was a success however it won't let me download apps. It is asking for a payment method and I don't own any credit cards. Can someone help me? Thanks! 🙂

Guys perhaps the following will help; once you get a code(it appears in older device) to type in your new device, you will need to type that code right after you type your password for the second time. For instance: my password is 'vertigo' ; as the second time you go, after you get the code(e.g 234167), you go as 'vertigo234167'. It the should be okay.

This is now the second time this has happened. I changed my Apple ID password on my other Apple device (iPad) and restarted my iPhone, then entered the new password on the phone, and it worked.

Last time, however, was a nightmare as all my password resets went to my iPhone, which wouldn't allow me in. Had to go to the Apple Store and talk to someone from their help line. She had one of the so-called geniuses switch the sim card in my phone with that of one of their extra phones, then reset the pw on my iPad, then reset it on their extra phone, and then restart my phone with the sim card back in place. Somewhere in all that, it got fixed. Tears and even a mall fire alarm later. This was incredibly frustrating.

Make sure you're typing it in correctly, and not incorrectly.

Restart.

Reset.

Reset All Settings.

I'm curious to know if your problem was solved.

Same problem. Haven't been able to update any apps. I did the restart, reset and reset all settings routine, and nothing changed. Still won't accept my apple id password in the iTunes store. By the way, it worked to sign in to this forum. Plus now I've got to retype in all the passwords for everything else. Oh, here's another thing, it works on this new iPhone5 with ios 7.1 to get my dot me email from iCloud but not to update a simple free app in the iTunes store. Highly annoying. I don't know where to turn. I've searched the help site on apply ID and iPhone.

I Am having the same issue. Was this ever resolved. I know the password is right because I logged into my phone and on here with it. but no luck on iPad....just says incorrect password. I have rebooted but have not reset all settings yet

I am having the same problem, went to the apple store they reset phone to factory settings and still it does not work. I only got my phone in July had it replaced due to another error and now problems again. I know the password is correct because it works when I login on a PC but not on my iphone. I wonder if it has anything to do with changing the password on my iphone originally. Did everyone else change password on their phone or on their PC (I have a windows PC) HELP!

I'm having the same issue and I'm SO frustrated. I can log into MyAppleID fine (as I did to make this post), but that same user/pass doesn't work with iTunes and my iPhone 5S and iPad 2 both won't update any apps. When I try to log in to iTunes on either device the login screen just pops back up again in an endless loop, yet I go to a PC and login to my account just fine. I've now reset my password at least 3 times, I've signed in/out and rebooted the devices countless times, and yes, I'm sure I'm entering the password correctly. It's just driving me nuts.

This didn't help me. I have checked the exact spellings and everything. My apple id pw works just fine on my ipad but not on my phone. What now?

Has ANYONE found a solution to this problem???

I've tried the resets & still nothing. So frustrated! I'm overseas & iMessage is my mainly way to comunicate most of the time...
