I cannot dare to update my iPhone 4S version if it leads to lose of any of my important data viz. calendar dates, contacts mails, texts nd apps etc. what should I do ,whether should I update it myself or should I visit apple service center for getting an update...; please help

What do you mean by when you say "what should I do"?
Obviously the smart thing to do would be to back up your phone before you apply the update. It's not rocket science

A iOS 7.0.6 version is available for update w.r.t my iOS 7.0.4 version ; will I loose any of my data if I update the version..?
