Q: restore notes

Hi

Ive just Replaced my Ipad 2 to a Ipad 3. I updated via icloud and all my contacts are now on my new Ipad3. I was pleased that all my notes are intact as I have many. I turned  off my ipad last night as normal.When i turned my Ipad on this morning all my Notes are gone.

I tried back up in cloud again but No notes.Is there any way I can restore my notes ?

I gave my Son my old I pad 2,  and did a reset so he has created his own apple ID.

I deleted the Ipad2 Device from my Device list on My Account in Itunes. I did that after I had all the information on my new Ipad3.

Any ideas as to how I can restore my notes ?
