I haave been trying to get my network up and running better and want to be able to transfer files easliy between my macs as well as keep track of who they were sent by, where and when they were sent as well as have the ability to send messages. I have had no luck I Chat.
Can you give more details about exactly what you're trying to do? I assume all the Macs are not yours otherwise there would be little point looking for the logging detail you're asking for.
OS X Server might be a good option for you, but without knowing your exact setup and requirements, it's hard to say.

I have a OS X server and the macs are all mine. I have I Chat set up but when I tried to change the user name on one of the other macs I Chat account the whole system asked for an administrator password (that's me), but it didn't work? I can still transfer dcuments via server but no chat avaialbe? I appreciate your imput.
