Boot Camp usage when downgrading to 10.6

I use a late 2007 24" Intel iMac 7.1

ProcessorIntel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7700 @ 2.40GHz, 2400 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
BIOS Version/DateApple Inc. IM71.88Z.007A.B03.0803051705, 05-Mar-08
SMBIOS Version2.4

which came with 10.4 OSX. Through the years I succesfully upgraded to the latest Mountain Lion but my machine is now very slow (4 GB RAM - I read zero swap usage , Macintoch HD has only the OSX and Office for Mac installed - all my files are on an external disk. Even Safari takes ages to load, the same stands for Finder and all other applications). I also installed Boot Camp (the latest version, I guess) and Windows 8.1.

My real concern is: If I downgrade to 10.6 (Snow Leopard - I can remeber it running excellent) what will happen to my Boot Camp Windows 8.1. I really dont want anything to happen to my widows installaltion - it's fast and it is crucial to my job.

Thanks

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
