I purchased an AppleTV as a gift from an Apple retail store on March 6, 2014 using my credit card. The gentleman servicing me asked if I wanted him to go get a printed receipt or just wait for the one that Apple would send to my email account. I told him I would wait for the email one.
I never received the email receipt even though the purchase cleared through my credit card account.
I contacted the store in Syracuse today and they said that could give me a printed receipt only if I came back to the store and showed them the credit card I used. They said I couldn't give them the number over the phone, and that they had no other means of tracking my purchase without it.
I said that it didn't make sense that I was going to have to drive 40 miles round trip for:
- something I had already purchased
- something for which they already had my money
- something which was their fault, not mine
Your advice to Alicemoy91 doesn't seem to apply in my case. Any suggestions. View Account is blank.
