I was never emailed a receipt of my purchase. How do I get one?

I purchased an iPad in store last July and chose to have a receipt emailed to me rather than printing off one there bit I never received an email with the receipt. Now I need a receipt to insure it. How do I get them to send it to me?

I purchased an AppleTV as a gift from an Apple retail store on March 6, 2014 using my credit card. The gentleman servicing me asked if I wanted him to go get a printed receipt or just wait for the one that Apple would send to my email account. I told him I would wait for the email one.


I never received the email receipt even though the purchase cleared through my credit card account.


I contacted the store in Syracuse today and they said that could give me a printed receipt only if I came back to the store and showed them the credit card I used. They said I couldn't give them the number over the phone, and that they had no other means of tracking my purchase without it.


I said that it didn't make sense that I was going to have to drive 40 miles round trip for:


  • something I had already purchased
  • something for which they already had my money
  • something which was their fault, not mine


Your advice to Alicemoy91 doesn't seem to apply in my case. Any suggestions. View Account is blank.
