QR code problem with iOS 7.0.6 on iPad

I am reading a book with QR codes from Amazon on my iPad. After I downloaded the new iOS, I have difficulity getting the QR codes to open the Youtube videos. After getting them to open in a round-about way, the audio is terrible, lots of static & hissing noices. Unable to use in this condition.

Anyone else having this problem or have a suggestion?
