How can I tell if my logic board is bad in my MacBook Pro

Hello, when I power my MacBook Pro on, it beeps every few seconds. I did some research and it appears that the RAM is bad in it however I had a friend look

At it and he says the logicboard is bad in it. How can I tell the difference. It's a unibody MacBook Pro 13 inch.

Thank you

Corey

1 beep = no RAM installed

2 beeps = incompatible RAM types

3 beeps = no good banks

4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)

5 beeps = processor is not usable
