Mar 2, 2014 7:38 PM in response to TripTracyby Blueberry,Logic Pro X runs on 10.8.4 or later.
Logic 8 _might_ run on 10.8.5, it does _not_ run on 10.9. It is many many years old, so that's a risk.

And no, Logic Pro X doesn't run on Lion. It crashes, because it relies on features in Mountain Lion.

Mar 7, 2014 9:40 AM in response to Blueberryby TripTracy,Thanks for your feedback. Logic x is running on os x 10.8.5, I ran it last night and the sound came out of the MacBook speakers. (which I hadn't thought to try) The problem I believe is with the digi 002 rack that I'm using. I checked with the Avid site and from what I understand, it requires a driver upgrade from the 32 bit to the 64 bit to work with Logic X. I also run Pro Tool 8, which, from what I gather won't run on the 64 upgrade. Yikes, I guess I can't use both Logic X and Pro Tools 8 thru the digi 002. Not sure what to do.

Jan 24, 2015 12:06 AM in response to TripTracyby zipperplug,This is an interesting thread. How are you getting Logic X to run on 10.8 when the tech specs clearly say that the "minumum system requirement" is 10.9.5 or later?

I am still on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and looking to upgrade but I see no need to go to Mavericks or Yosemite until the bugs are fixed.

Jan 26, 2015 6:49 PM in response to zipperplugby Blueberry,Older version were, since Logic Pro X 10.1 the minimum supported OS is 10.9.5. And no, there is no way to get previous versions that did run on 10.8.x. Just stay with your old version of Logic till you upgrade to Yosemite.
