Can I use a Apple Studio display for my Mac Mini 1.66?
The heading says it all.

No, it doesn't. There were many different Apple Studio Displays:
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Studio_Display>
Sizes 15", 17", 20", 21"
Types CRT, LCD
Video connectors DA-15, VGA, DVI, ADC (Apple Display Connector)
A DVI display will just plug into the Mini's DVI connector. Any other model will work if you use the correct adapter, except for the CRT ADC version.
My apologies. It's a 15"LCD. Thanks for your response.
It's an ADC
model #2454
Then you will need a DVI to ADC adapter.

Malcolm I have a Mac Mini power adaptor 85W. Will this enable me to connect the Mac Mini 1.66 to my monitor M2454?
Thank you
No. You need a DVI to ADC adapter.
Malcolm, I am approaching 88 years old and am entering a world that is a little confusing to me. The thing I have is made by Apple, is a white box that plugs into a 110 Volt receptacle, has a place to plug a monitor cord into, has a USB plug coming out of it, and a corded plug that I suppose that plugs into a computer. It cost a lot of money, of which I have very little, or else I wouldn't be messing with an old monitor. I do appreciate your help and , from my description do you you think I have the right device?
I am much obliged.
If it has a socket for the display's ADC, and a DVI plug that fits the computer, then it is a DVI to ADC adapter.
If the display has brightness control buttons, than you don't need to connect the USB plug to the computer.
