Late 2013 MacBook Pro 15" Retina keeps crashing

I've only had it for 2 months. Let's say I'm downloading multiple files and running an SD video on the side, it crashes.

Whenever I utilize the SSD i.e. converting an HD film for example, or even simply compressing a music album(s) into a zip file. It crashes.

Pathetic really, this machine costs £2100 and the SSD can't even handle basic usage.

The most recent crash was today (yesteday as well): 1st March 2014 around 2.19am

Any or all of the following third-party system modifications may be contributing to the problem:

VirtualBox

Expandrive

LogMeIn

Boom

If the panic is recurrent, check that all are up to date, and if they are, uninstall them, one at a time, according to the developers' instructions, to see whether you can determine which is at fault. A conflict between modifications may be involved. Reboot and test after each uninstallation.

Back up all data before making any changes.

I think the issue may lay with KeyRemap4MacBook. I've now fully uninstalled it.

I noticed at: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5519349?start=30&tstart=0 - Someone recommended removing it. I'll try to remember to post an update for all reading this. Wheater it helps or not

Do you have a newer Kernel panic log that you can post? And have you removed ALL third-party kernel extensions:

To be fair I did just reinstall expandrive but it hasn't been running.

I will uninstall it again and see how it pans out. The other programs aren't instlalled.

You shouldn't be showing all of those 'zeros' - and the kernel trap indicates that there is a problem with the RAM as well. You're going to have to have Apple fix the problem, which will entail installing a new logic board dince on Retina models the RAM is soldered to the logic board.

Be sure that you backup before you take your machine into your local Apple Store or AASP as they will likley replace the flash storage as well.

Sorry that it's not a third-party software problem - that would have been simpler to fix. But it's a RAM problem and only a full logic board replacement is going to fix the problem.

Your welcome - be sure and print out that copy of your kernel panic when you take your machine into your local Apple Store or AASP. They will be able to see the problem immediately.

I think I may have fixed the issue. It's been about 4 days and I've had no crashes.

I simply disabled automatic graphics switching. That seemed to have fixed it. Then I turned it back on. Hasn't crashed, yet, if it does I will 100% take it into the store and update this page.

Clinton, thoughts please?
