Q: 2014 New Black Mac Pro Crashing

This is totally frustrating.

I have a new Mac Pro 2014, preconfigured in Apple Store with 64 GB RAM, 1 TB Flash, AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB graphics with 2 monitors (2560x1440) connected by thunderbolt.

After I installed all my applications, for example, Adobe CS6, the machine starts crashing randomly. It can be one hour or it can be 15 mins after restart.

I can be using Safari, or printing a Word document or just installing a new application and the screens will go black and then, chime and the machine restarts and back to the login screen.

I have called Apple Support 3 times and still the situation remains.

So far, I have

* Installed the Apple Update that addressed an SMC issue

* Updated to 10.9.2

* Disabled all Power Saving features

* Reset the SMC

Now I am running in safe mode for the last 15 mins and monitoring the situation.

Will a product specialise from Apple comment and advise?

Thanks.

    After a hard disk erase, download and reinstall of Mavericks, the system has become even more unstable; with more frequent restarts and it even restarts at the login screen..

    Ok, so I have a MacPro it's been running now for a few weeks with no problems. I updated to 10.9.2 and now it randomly freezes and crashes and turns off. I don't think it's a hardware I really think it's the software 10.9.2

    I waited a while but ran the update to help fix my mac mail app and now this. It blows but either I downgrade or wait for apple to fix it. Either way it's not fun.

    Adobe and Apple have worked closely together to test Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications for reliability, performance, and user experience when installed on Intel-based systems running Mac OS X Mavericks. (v10.9). All Adobe CC and CS6 products are compatible, but a few products require updates to the latest builds to work properly. Adobe Photoshop CS5, CS4, and CS3 were also tested with Mac OS X Mavericks and there are currently no known major issues.

    As with any new release of an operating system, there could be unexpected issues that arise that were not discovered during testing. If you encounter any issues, report them using the bug reporting form.

    When a kernel panic occurs, the report is saved in a log and can be retrieved later. Try and find one and post it here. this article will help:

    How to log a Kernel Panic

    If you retrieve and post a kernel panic here, Readers may be able to help determine the cause.

    If techguy Leo LaPorte had posted his Memory-related kernel panic here, we would have been able to tell him it was a Memory problem.

    A machine check typically means a hardware problem.

    Machine-check capabilities: 0x0000000001000c17

    When multiple banks are reporting errors that typically means bad memory

    23 error-reporting banks

    You can run Apple hardware Test/Diagnostic

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201257

    Or yo can take out one 16 GB stick and see if problem is resolved. If not swap out a pair and then repeat as necessary
