I don't have money to get a new operating system how can I get it on the macbook for free. I need the operating system lion of mavericks. can someone help me.

Mavericks is free. All you need is Snow Leopard, and you already have that.
Well remember my last post My macbook lost its directory And I dont have a bootup cd its the original operating system that came with my computer.
If you have Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6.8, you can go to Mavericks for free if your MacBook meets the requirements in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842 but if it is not on that list, Lion will cost $20 (US) from the telephone order department at 1-800-MY-APPLE, where you pay the fee and they send an email in a few days with a download code and instructions.
Like I just said I cant get to my desktop And it seems I lost my directory I dont have a bootup disc and I dont have money to replace it.

If you no longer have Snow Leopard installed, or the disc you purchased to install Snow Leopard, you have to purchase Snow Leopard. Mavericks is still free.

This is the best I can do Ill keep replying and try something new. The only other computer I have to get stuff and download stuff is a horrible mac os x 10.5.2 It is so horrible its a stupid desktop any way That i could upgrade it any higher?

If your desktop is a Power PC Mac then 10.5 is the maximum OS it can run. If it's an Intel Mac then it can be upgraded to at least 10.6 Snow Leopard. You will have to spend some money though. The 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD is in the Apple online store. You can get it for $19.99. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard After you’ve installed that then download the 10.6.8 combo updater to finish it off. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 You will need to be running 10.6.8 to access the App Store to order Lion, Mountain Lion or Mavericks which are downloads only.
