I've changed the my I pad to Chinese by mistake and something was downloaded now everthing is in Chinese and it seems to be in a set up mood. No icons come up on screen. How to I get it back into English?

I've changed the language on my Ipad to Chinese by mistake and then in trying to correct the mistake downloaded something... I pad seems to be in a set up mood. There are no icons appearing on screen just Chinese. Is there a way to return to English setting?

It sounds like like you need to change the language your iPad is set to, but you cannot understand the language it currently is. The following article should help you do that:

when I select english it lets me select englishUS and then it all stays in chinese characters. Im about ready to chuck this thing out the window. Its connected to my computer and if I use one of the older backups it does not have my synced text books and all the useful things that I lost with my original ipad that went swiming via 4 year old.... the most recent back up Im trying to do it to was 3 days ago and the ipad was in english when I did the back up...


Im not high and Im not stupid I just cant read chinese symbols.
