Q: AppleCare for an old macbook pro

it is winter 2014 now, i am planning to buy a mid 2012 macbook pro 15 in. do you think i can still buy applecare for it? I cant check if my mac is eligible yet because i don't have the serial number. I ordered it from amazon.

    Best way to check is with the serial number. If it is a NEW computer, then you should be able to. If it is a USED computer, then chances are slim.

     

    My recommendation: Call AppleCare once you get your computer and give them the serial number. Make sure you have your confirmation of Purchase as well.
