I tried downloading the new iOS 7.6 update and my phone was saying it was preparing for the update. My screen was telling me that i had to connect my phone to iTunes, which I did and even iTunes wasn't recognizing my phone.

What were you doing when you tried to download the iOS update? Did you try to do this from the phone? What is showing on the iPhone screen right now? What computer operating system are you using, and what version of iTunes do you have, the version number please?
