Cannot make new folders on HD
I have just purchased a MacMini which came with Mavericks. I want to make a new folder on my HD and it is telling me it is read only. I amthe Administrator. How do I reset this?
Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
OK, I worked that one out, I just can't do it while downloading. I could do it in finder OK. But why does it keeop asking me for my password EVERY single time I want to make an alteration of any sort in the finder. can I turn this off, it is incredibly annoying and time consuming.
