turn it off as stated or discover how to setup nomral firewall not to block the ports required by the appletv
Contact Symantec for assistance with configuring their product to allow communication with the AppleTV.

Also it works when I disable firewall. Was working when I first hooked it up awhile back. Think the update to 2014 caused problem.
Please check if the Apple TV is showing up in the Network Map and make sure that it is set to "Full Trust". You can refer to the following KB article:
