Wiring harness (iMac 2011 27") help

The 2wires (one grey, the other black), part of the "V-Sync/LCD Temp. Sensor Cable, has come out of the connector that connects to the LED Backlight Board.

The female connection on the LED Backlight Board has four pins; whereas the male connector only has 2 wires that can fit into 4 different locations inside the connector. Unable to find any diagram for reference to help me reconnect them. The wires are just randomly reinstalled back into the connector to protect the pins. Have not reconnect the harness back to the LED Backlight Board

I think the sensor cable senses the LCD Display Screen temperature and turns on the fan when / if display gets too hot. Am I right?

Good day,

Have 2011 27inch. heated the AMD video card and now have video instead of white screen issue. When I powered it up have very high fan speed. I have tried to install the Vsync/Temp cable both ways, only one way allows insertion. With this cable disconnected I get the same issue high fan speed. I believe I am inserting it correctly however, after 4x I am still getting the high fans. Does anyone else have any insight?

Go to iFixit.com and search for your model. They may have a service guide for it.

Thanks for your reply and the other similar reply. I had examine your recommended photo in my earliar research prior to posting for assistance on the Forum. I concurred with your observation on the position of the wires; but unfortunately, both wires in the "Ifixit" photo appears to be black in colour, whereas my harness wires are grey and black.

My research on the internet for pictures of this harness (V-Sinc LCD temperature sensor harness) shows this harness available for sale from numerouse sources, but the clarity of the pictures leaves identification of the locations of the two different colour wires impossible.

Thanks again, hopefully someone out there has a 2011 27 inch iMac apart and can sent a photo of the connector in question.
