Ipod Nano 5th gen. stuck on disk mode, have reset it tons of times, get restore by itunes, i plug it into my computer and itunes says ipod detected but could not be properly identified, have uninstalled itunes many times, checked all drivers.

I have been trying for two days to update this ipod nano gen 5. When i originally plugged it into my mac, the mac said it needed to be updated, but the mac was not letting me update it, so i tried on my pc, my pc has updated my other ipod successfully but not this nano gen 5.
