Ipod Nano 5th gen. stuck on disk mode, have reset it tons of times, get restore by itunes, i plug it into my computer and itunes says ipod detected but could not be properly identified, have uninstalled itunes many times, checked all drivers.

I have been trying for two days to update this ipod nano gen 5. When i originally plugged it into my mac, the mac said it needed to be updated, but the mac was not letting me update it, so i tried on my pc, my pc has updated my other ipod successfully but not this nano gen 5. It is stuck in disk mode, have reset it, tested diagnostics, checked all of my drivers and done all updates. As well as updated apple usb drives, everything.
