Will an update from iOS 4.3.3 to 7.0.6 erase all/some data on an iPad 2?
Will a jump from 4.3.3 to 7.0.6 erase user content, including
- Applications and data
- Pictures
If it does, is there a way to prevent it?
Thanks!
iPad 2, iOS 7.0.6

Such a large jump just wondered me... but okay.
Some of those applications where installed by an account that belonged to the previous owner. The current owner, who isnt me, doenst want that data to be lost. If the update is taken, will those applications be removed?
Having a previous owner has changed everything. If it is still registered under the other persons ID and you reregister it you will lose all the data. If you upgrade it and it is still registered to the first owner and you don't know the owners ID and password you will be locked out.
... That *****, I guess then I should stay with this ****** iOS. So
Update= Erase aps under previous owner
Stay = Have to deal with crAppy iOS.
Thanks, I guess.
You're welcome. Either way it's better then upgrading and not being able to use it at all. If you can get the old ID I'd erase and upgrade. Most apps are designed for IOS 6 and above.
