Q: use remote desktop to restart a mac in safe mode

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to get Remote Desktop to restart a remote machine in safe mode.

I have a remotely managed Mac Mini, and every so often it fails to restart properly.

When it does this, I cannot log into it in order to set safe boot mode on the command line, and the only alternative is to physically visit the machine, plug in a keyboard, and restart in safe mode the old-fashioned way.

Once it starts in safe mode, it usually does a normal start again just fine.

If RD had a way to allow me to restart the machine in safe mode, it would save a *lot* of hassle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks very much in advance.
