13" SSD MacBook Pro Heat Issues

I bought a MBP (256GB SSD) just under 12 months ago, and installed an app to monitor the internal temperatures as it seemed almost too hot to touch the metal case of the computer.

I booked a "Genius" appointment at my local store in the U.K soon after, and the guy wasn't the least bit interested in my problem. The so called "diagnostic test" he ran was leaving the screen saver running constantly over-night and recording a overnight temp, as you can imagine I am not happy with this "test", it's hardly a strain on the MBP's resources.

Suggestions please??
