ITunes 11.5.5 freezing

I just updated my itunes to 11.5.5 everything was working before the update. After the update, itunes will freeze if I click edit, preferences, or if I connect my ipod touch. I am running Windows 7 64 bit

iPod touch, Windows 7

With that combination of symptoms, I'd first try a complete uninstall/reinstall of both iTunes and all related software components, as per the instructions from the following troubleshooting document:

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Thanks, I uninstalled and reinstalled as instructed and it resoved the problem

GLAD FOR U. BUT IT DOES HELP WITH IPOD CLASSIC 120GB WIN 7 E.G I SEE NO SUMMARY TAB OR SOURCE TAB IN TRYING TO DO THE RESTORE AS APPLE INSTRUCTED -- IS CLASSIC JUST TOO OLD NOW FOR APPLE? BONHOM
