I have an iMac Mountain lion and 4S iPhone. I have imported my iPhone video into iMovies but am unable to burn video to a DVD that will play on a TV (it will only play on a computer). Can any one help please?

You need a DVD authoring app and a drive that has a burner. Apple has stopped both on their OS's and new machines.
Do you have iDVD on your machine? Do you have a burner?
iMovie is not DVD authoring software. You need to use a professional DVD authoring software like iDVD (Apple discarded it on new Macs in the past 2-3 years, if you dont have it, give another alternative AppGeeker DVD Creator here a whirl) to burn and create a playable DVD that can be played on an ordinary DVD player.
