internet/wifi connection

My home internet connection is QWD-59989 and I recently installed an airport express which is connected to my stereo system. When the "QWD-59989" is check-marked, I cannot hear a CD from my computer on the stereo system, but can access the internet. When I checkmark the "Raya's WI-FI network", I can play a CD from my computer, but am unable to play music from the internet because I cannot connect to the internet.

I checkmarked on I-Tunes both the "multiple" and Raya's "Airport Express", but still cannot play anything from the internet as when I check the networks, I can only check-mark one network, either the CWD-59989 or Raya's Wi-Fi network.

How do I set both connections to work so that I can stream music from the internet?

Configure your AirPort Express to "join" your home Internet connection. Read: AirPort Express: How to join an existing Wi-Fi network in client mode

After you do that, you will be able to stream music from the Internet as well as your computer. Your computer should be connected to the home network "QWD-59989".

At present it appears your Express is configured to "create" a wireless network but it has no Internet connection. In that mode it will be isolated from the Internet and can only be used for streaming music from your computer.

After opening Airport Utility, clicking on the base station tab it is greyed and therefore I cannot restore it. I cannot find anywhere "Airport Express" and it shows that I have an internet connection but no wi-fi. H E L P!!

Start from the beginning with a "hard reset". You would need to do that anyway, if you are to configure it to join an existing wireless network.

To "hard reset" an AirPort Base Station: make sure it's powered up, then press and hold its tiny reset button and keep it depressed for five to ten seconds, long enough for its LED to flash amber rapidly. Release the reset button. Then, the LED will glow amber steadily for about a minute. Then, it will flash amber, slowly, about once every second or two, waiting for you to configure it with AirPort Utility.

Did the hard reset and set up Airport Express, but can either use the "Raya's Wi-Fi" or the "QWD59989" so I am right back where I started. How do I set it up so that I can use both and stream music from the Internet.

If you configure your AirPort Express to join your existing Wi-Fi, and its name is QWD59989, then join that one.

"Raya's Wi-Fi" will eventually disappear as an available network in your iMac's Wi-Fi icon. Until then, just disregard it.

There is still one problem to solve - I can listen to music from my computer, but cannot stream from the internert radios. Is there anything that I forgot to do? Please let me knowl
