Q: Music from iPod to iPad via iTunes match

How do I find songs, originally uploaded to my iPod from CD's, in my library on my iPad? I can only see 'purchased' songs. Any help would be very much appreciated.

    If you've subscribed to iTunes Match then were those songs on your computer's iTunes library when you subscribed to it ? You can only subscribe to iTunes Match, and upload music to it, from a computer's iTunes - you can't upload music from a device.

     

    If you no longer have those songs on your computer, and you don't have them on a backup drive, then you will need to copy them back from iPad - iTunes itself will only copy iTunes purchases back from a device, but there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back from your iPad : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
