I cannot get a disk to load in my MacBook Pro. It will accept the disk all the way in but will not run it.

I have a MacBook Pro that I've always had issues loading discs. Typically if I can clean the disk drive, it works. Today it's not. I've rebooted, tried using CD/DVD option in system preferences and opening Turbo Tax 2012 application (trying to get system to accept Turbo Tax 2013) and still have no luck. I did get the right version of turbo tax and I cannot get any discs to open. PLEASE HELP!!!
