My iPhone 4 won't sync my music anymore.

I've had my phone for a couple of years and hadn't had any issues with it until now. About a month ago, all of a sudden, songs won't sync from iTunes to my phone. Every time I plug it into my computer, it adds about 50 plays to most of my songs. I don't have access to an Apple store, so I can't get it checked out. Do I have to restore it? I'd really rather not, but I want my music. Thank you so much!
