How to remove DRM from files

I thought iTunes Match was supposed to remove DRM from files

iMac, iOS 7.0.6, DRM removal

It doesn't actually "remove" anything. But it does allow you to delete the DRM versions and download non-DRM versions, if available.

As Ed says iTunes Match does not automagically remove DRM from items that were purchases with DRM restrictions. To do that see this Macworld article for help: http://www.macworld.com/article/1163620/how_to_upgrade_tracks_to_itunes_match_fa st.html.


However, keep in mind that not all previously purchased tracks will "match." Some will be "uploaded" and the only way the DRM-restrictions can be removed from those tracks is to burn them to an Audio CD then import them the the library again.
