will i have to re install everything and lose my password notes and all my other stuff

It didn't affect my battery life. But past performance is no guarantee of future results. Make a backup of the phone with iTunes, and another one with iCloud before updating. Then if something glitches you can restore either of the backups.

i dont know im not that familure with i cloud but i did do a itunes back up, but how do you know witch things need to go on icloud and witch things go on itunes?

All of your data goes to both iTunes and iCloud backups. Your apps and music don't, but you can restore that.
To back up to iCloud on the phone go to Settings/iCloud, scroll down and tap "Storage & Backup".
