Q: Wireless key board not pairing

This just happened today that my wireless keyboard will it pair with iMac.  I changed the batteries and shut down computer.  I have turned on power button on keyboard and it tried to pair with blinking green light but didn't work.  I can not even type password to get on to desktop.  Any hints?

IMAC, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

The light is blinking because either the pairing process has been interupted or the battery connection is inadequate.

Taking the most straightforward route first, you need to clean the battery contact points inside the battery compartment then insert two new good quality batteries, preferably Duracell or Energiser.   Ideally, they should not be from market stalls or promotional stores as it is likely they could be old stock with a depleted charge.

If there is no change after doing this, refer to the document below.
