how to cut and paste in word documents

I've never owned an "apple" product and I bought a MacBook Air to

and I've got a steep learning curve. I need help w/ basic functions b/c so different than a PC

  • Cut and Paste in a word doc?
  • Attaching Doc's to an email
  • closing the 'bookmark' section on safari

Is there a good "Quick Reference Guide" online so I don't have to go through trial and error or be on an 'apple support' asking silly questions. My frustration after 2 hrs is making me have 'buyers remorse'.

Thanks,

MacBook Air

Many of the windows conventions are similar, but substitute use of the Command key for Alt key in windows when using a Mac..

The big differences is Apple specified to programmers early on what these conventions would be and they are consistent (with few exceptions) on all Mac Apps.

Here's another guide

While we're discussing switching from Windows to Mac OS...

Double-clicking is most commonly used as a shortcut for other actions, such as… to select a word. Triple-clicking selects the next logical unit, as defined by the application. In a word-processing document, triple-clicking in a word selects the paragraph containing the word…. Double-clicking within a word selects the word. Control-click deselects or selects multiple non-adjacent elements

Shift-clicking works the same... to bring up a contextual menu on a one button mouse hold the CONTROL key and click
