What is "Agent Monitor" on my MacBook Pro?

We bought a MacBook Pro second hand, so it's a couple of years old. Whenever it starts up, something called "Agent Monitor" opens and runs. What is this? Do I want it? Can I delete it? It is not on any of our other MacBooks...
