My Apple TV box has a white light flashing. I was trying to reset or restore. My remote doesn't cause it to do anything. I can't find the device on my itunes when I plug in the micro usb cord to my computer. What should I do? I'm not sure what generation I have.

Umm.... Sorry. The news here is not good. If the blinking light never stops blinking and it is not showing up in iTunes when plugged via USB then it is probably gone. If there is an Apple store near you you could make an appointment with the genus bar to confirm that.

It appears that there is not a way to make a genius bar appt for apple tv. and because I can't read what my serial number is on the bottom of the box I can't submit a request for apple tv support via my apple account. How does one read those tiny numbers in black on a black box?
Call the store directly. They support ATV.
