Q: after downloading many videos and photos from my iPhone to iMac using iPhoto, i would like to access the videos separately to use in iMovie or just the files on their own. this seems impossible. using finder all my files only shows videos from old camera

    In iPhoto, with the video selected, go to the iPhoto File menu and use the Export command. I use this for photos and don't have any experience with videos but seem to recall that you may have to set the "Kind" in the Export dialog to "Original" -- not sure of that part so you may need to experiment with "Kind."
