my apps can't access my contacts?

Settings>General>Restrictions. There may be a restriction to using I realize that all apps will show in Settings, the one place you need to find the app you are referring to wanting to use contacts is in Privacy>Contacts. You may need to delete and reinstall the app. You do not mention what app it is, so I cannot be sure about it. I had just put a new app on my phone, MCBackup which will backup your contacts and allow you to email them to yourself. When I checked, it wasn't listed in Settings>Privacy>Contacts, however when I opened the app, the first thing it did was display a dialog box asking me if I wanted to allow access to Contacts. I said yes, and then when checking Settings>Privacy>Contacts, it appears. I think it may be something with the app you may be trying to use. What are you actually trying to do. Let us check that way, since you are not seeing the ability, after you check your restrictions.

All programs/apps show up in "settings". However, no Apps show up in "contacts". Have not been successful in finding any restrictions per se. Would you pls direct me where to check?

I Have no Apps showing in Settings>Privacy>Contacts. after I downloaded iOS 9.2.1 to iPad air. Any ideas?

Did you go to the Privacy settings for Contacts an d turn on the apps you want to give permissions to?

Settings > Privacy > Contacts

What happens when you try?

Are there apps listed?

Are they turned on?

You can give apps permission to use your contacts here:

Settings > Privacy > Contacts

You have to attempt to use an app for it to initially show in the Privacy area. In other words, try to use the specific app you want to allow contacts to use. When you get the dialog box that it is requesting to use Contacts, you can grant it then.

Have you powered the device off and back on again? What happens when you try to use those apps, are you seeing some type of error message?

Power on/off first thing I tried. Error message "This app does not have access to contacts"

If you are not seeing any apps when checking Settings, then check to see if you have any Restrictions turned on.
