Getting computer to accept new ipod nano

I purchased a 2 gen Ipod nano second hand last fall. Already it is messing up so I bought a new a gen 4 ipod nano online. I want to know how to get my new Nano accepted by my computer and Itunes so I can have my songs transferred from my Itunes store account to my new Ipod nano and have the sync feature continue with the new Ipod. I am very non tech so any help is grately appreciated!

Hi janemitch,

Welcome to the Support Communities!

First of all, I'm including the entire iPod nano User Guide below for you:

iPod Nano User Guide

The following two links will explain how to authorize your computer and associate your iPod nano with the Apple ID you use for the iTunes Store:

I hope this information helps ....

Have a great day!
