Just wondering why when i turn my tv on my apple tv is telling me i need a micro usb cord connected to itunes and where can i get a usb cord

...there is a major problem with your appleTV, and the OS on it needs to be restored... the way to do that is to connect it to a computer via USB, start up iTunes and do the restore proceedure.
