How do you do stop motion in iMovie 10.0.2?
All the videos I have found show in an older version of iMovie. The main problem is figuring out how to shorten the length of the photo time.

So I created the movie with the photos but can't find where the movie was saved. The save box said that it was too long to be used by other devices but if saved to "Theater" it could be saved to the iMac but nowhere else. After creating the movie to "Theater" can't find where "Theater" is in order to reimport back into iMovie.
If you had used the "update projects and events" from the new version all your old projects and events would of transfered to iMovie 10.0.2
To change the lenght of the photo:
- Select the photo within your project.
- Go to adjustments
- Select the weird looking "i" or inspecter
- Change the duration/time or the photo there
Or you could just go to the photo in your project and grab an end and drag it to shorten it.
When doing stop motion, it would take a very long time to change the duration for each picture.
I actually think I found another way:
Create a movie with the photos only (using fit instead of Ken Burns) share it as a file on my desktop.
Import it back into iMovie as a movie
then I can adjust the speed using fast forward in the Modify section.
Ah! Thank you so much! Genius. They should make it easier to try to do this in the program....
You can select multiple photos and set the duration for all of them in one go see:
