Hello

I am not sure where to submit this question...Basically I have four quadcore apple computers and am wanting to connect them for distrubuted processing. I was told I would need Qmaster from the Final Cut Studio. My impression is that the Qmaster is similar to the "Rock Cluters" code for parallel computing in Linux. Do I need to set up DCHP, SSH when using Qmaster? Is Qmaster only operational for certain Mac OS?? How about older versions of Mac OS?

I am wanting to do Scientific calculations/simulations across mutiple processors.

Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks, Steve

What kind of calculations/simulations? Is this something you have already developed? Or is it from a 3rd party?

    Thanks for your response.

I will be solving Equations of motion and possibly some quantum calculations. The code for doing these calculations are from sorce code C++/fortran available (to be purchased)...AMBER, Guassian, etc..

Basically, I'm attempting to keep from having to purchase Linux systems since I have these Mac OS computers already, but I am not sure about how to go about building a small cluster with them..
