How can I turn off "Find My iPhone" in order to restore my phone if forgot my Passcode?

I'm trying to restore my iPhone 4S because I forgot the Passcode. I got a new 5c but when I went back to my 4s, I forgot my Passcode and now it is disabled and it says "Connect to ITunes" but iTunes says that "Find My iPhone" must be turned off before it can be restored, but I can't turn that off if I can't get into my phone. What do I do?

iPhone 4S, The other device is an iPod touch

Go to your @icloud.com page, click on the Find My Phone app. You can erase the device as well as remove it from the Find My Phone device list.

u may try what kappy suggested or

donwload a stock firm ware of your iOS from any external site

  1. switch of your iPhone
  2. put it in recovery mode ,connect to a pc/ mac with iTunes
  3. open iTunes if it did not open on its own
  4. it should pop a message saying "iTunes detected a iPhone in recovery mode"
  5. click ok or hold option and click on restore
  6. it pops up a finder window just select the firmware u downloaded
  7. and let the magic happen
  8. afterwards u can sync but don't restore from a back up it locks ur phone again
