Hello Geotay, & pfoxhoven ( bit different, disabled the whole add on)

By disabling "Block Ad/Banners" that Saft adds to the Safari menu on the menu bar all is well. Weeee!

Glad to hear you have solved your problem [s], good job!!

Thank you for letting us know, it is helpful for others that may have this
issue as well. May I ask is this version: 8.3.4 Saft the one you have running ?

Pfoxhoven, if not perhaps that would allow you to run it again.

Thanks for the helpful vote, geotay !

Regards to you both; )

Welcome to Apple Discussions Geotay,

Is this an error you get from a pop up, the activity window, or in the status bar.

Is this from a particular web site? Could you post the link[s] if so we can try them ? I think it is a message about poor html code in web pages.

If you copy and paste a URL here you will get a read of the errors on a page. W3C

Please let us know if this what you are having a problem with.

Well at first I thought it was because of one of the multitude of addons I have for Safari, so I disabled all of them and nope.. still get the errors many times these days.

I don't have an URL at the moment, will save a few today when I come across them.

I get the errors in the primary safari window, not in a pop up or the status bar. Not even sure about the activity window as I've never noticed it being a feature until I went looking for it just now.

But I'll get some links. BTW, it most often occurs when I'm following a link to a site from Google.

I am getting this EXACT error as well -- seems to occur more often when visiting Google Adsense ads but I get it when I enter some URLs directly. I also find that more often than not I have to quit out of Safari all together and relaunch and I can visit the same site that produced that error. This problem is plaguing my regular use of Safari.

Hi,

www.logitech.com/revolution works fine on my version of Safari (2.0.4 v419.3) so it's not specifically a Safari bug as such.

One quick test you can do to help narrow down things is to try Safari in another user account. This will help us to know whether your problem is local to your account or system wide. If you don't have another account you can use System Preferences -> Accounts -> [+] to create a test one (and [-] to remove it if needed)

For your your internet connections are you using any proxies? (You can check in the System Preferences -> Network pane)

Also, what Safari add-ons have you both added in the past? Maybe we can track it down to a common add-on between you both.

After trying it again in another account and still seeing the errors I tried another WebKit browser. The issues didn't surface then. So, I once again tried step by step removing and changing settings.
