Hey
I am trying to get an effect like the one seen in this video

basically its a moving text message that can flow anywhere... i dont know how to describe it
is the only way to do this with keyframes?
or is there a plugin for FCP?

Yeah. Keyframing is the only way I know of to do something like that.

thats a complicated effect to acheive ... certainly not something you will duplicate with any quality inside of FCP.

yes, it will require keyframes, plus key mattes, bezier motion paths and 3d space (or 2d distortion effects)

try adobe after effects

I would do this in After Effects. You can assign text to a path, and then just have it follow that path, and you can add mattes, so that it can just be in glasses, or in one ear and then continue out the other.

If stuff like this were simple and easy then everyone would be doing it and it wouldn't be cool and different. Cool and different takes imagination and hard work.
