The android phone I have is really messed up and I can't plug it in with a USB cable to transfer the music files so is there anyway I can transfer them with just the sd card? I know on the newer models there's a slot for the sd card adapter but it's not on my model. Any help?

If is a MicroSD card you'll need a MicroSD to SD card adapter. Something like this.
Once you have one of those just insert it into the SD card slot on your Mac then open a Finder window and select all the images and press Command + c to copy then go to the folder you want to put them in and select it and press Command + v to paste to that folder.
The Macbook model I have doesn't have an sd card slot, unless I'm looking in the wrong place? It's a late 2008 model.
Then you'll also need a SD card reader. Not sure if the 2008 model has a SD card reader slot.
