Cannot answer incoming Viber calls

I have iPhone 5S with iOS 7.0.6 and Viber version 4.1.1

Viber is running in the background and the iPhone is locked.

Any incoming Viber call will sound the audible alert and there is a notice saying that there is an incoming Viber call. However there are no "Accept" or "Decline" buttons shown on the screen.

When I enter the password to unlock the iPhone the Viber call is cancelled.

When there is any standard incoming call the buttons are shown and ir work ok, even when the iPhone is locked.

If the iPhone is unlocked, any incoming Viber call shows the buttons and everything works correctly.

How can I get Viber to show the Accept and Decline buttons when the iPhone is locked?

Any help you can give me will be very much appreciated.

Thank you. Brian 1939

PS, an earlier posting shows that this problem has been solved. This is incorrect. I still have the problem. I somehow made an error. My apologies.

Thank you KiltedTim, AmishCake and the Viber Team,

Interim report. Partial feedback.

In answer to you question I unlocked the screen quickly (see following). When I unlock the screen I see the normal screen with several icons, including Viber.

I have experimented several times with the help of a friend next to me to call from their Viber on their iPhone.

Each time I had unlocked the iPhone by the end of the first or second ring. The call was definitely lost. There was no accept or any other button to allow me to continue. After unlocking I pressed the Viber icon but there was nothing there either. The caller had not hung up. I know because the caller was next to me.

Receiving Viber incoming calls with the iPhone unlocked works ok.

I experimented with different combinations of iPhone locked and unlocked, Viber open and exited when the iPhone went into locked condition, WiFi On and Off, and WiFi signal strong and weak signal, and in different locations.

What I did find on two tests was a message box appeared on when the WiFi was TURNED OFF, or turned on but I was not receiving any WiFi signal. That is, if I am connected using the 3G or 4G system it seems to work. After unlocking the screen a box appears which allows me to continue and I receive the call.

When I do have a WiFi connection it does not work.

Due to time limits I have not yet been able to reconfirm these results. My intention was (is) to repeat the tests and accuraltely document each result then report back to you. Within the next few days I hope my friend will be available to experiment again.

For those interested, especially the Viber team, I hope this will be food for thought about my problem.

As a point of interest, has anyone else reported this same problem?

Thank you again,

Brian1939
